Andre Carson Receives Community Service Award
Carson Honored at Annual Black History Month CelebrationIndianapolis - André Carson, Democratic Candidate for Congress in Indiana's 7th District, was honored for his contributions to the community last night at a Black History Month church celebration. Carson was chosen by the deacon board of the Universal Ministries Worldwide Assembly because of his work for the people of Indianapolis and his vision for change in his congressional race.
"I am extremely honored by this recognition and humbled by the outpouring of support I have received during my campaign," said Carson. "The people of Indianapolis know that I will fight for our community and stand up for our values in Congress on priorities like investing in education and creating good jobs right here in our city."
